DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate our friends\, family\, and neighbors in the military with a day of great music\, laughter\, and fun! \n8am Registration Opens\n10am 5k Run\, 10k GoRuck\, and 1 Mile Family Walk\n11:30am Parade to Honor Veterans\n12:30pm Music Festival (featuring dance band Patrice & The Show) \nFacebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/533154193848245/ \nAbout the 5k/10k\nEvery day nearly 22 of our warriors succumb to the silent wounds that few of us can understand.  In response\, Vet Fest was created to demonstrate our passion for supporting the military and first responder communities and especially our combat veterans.  This day is filled with music\, food\, laughter and community.  Proceeds from this event go directly to support Stop Soldier Suicide\, Inc.\, a 501c3 that works 1-on-1 with troops\, veterans\, and military family members to help navigate the maze of services\, programs\, and assistance available. \nRegistration (Day of registration will be available for $30 per event) \n\nPATRIOTS 5K: $25.00 Scenic out-and-back\, rolling 3.1 mile course – Receive 2 free drink tickets\nGORUCK 10K- Special division: $25.00There is NO minimum weight requirement to RUCK. It is an honor system — challenge yourself!  That being said\, if you want to be eligible for the top finisher prize\, you will need to adhere to these standards:\nIf you are under 150 lbs\, carry a 10 lb weight and if you are over 150 lbs\, carry 30 lbs.\nEach participant will have a 10 or 30 lb Ruck Plate (or equivalent in non-consumable weight) in their rucksack at the start point.\nThe GORUCK – Special Division course will follow the same 5K course and will split from the 5K runners at the canal.  Map coming soon. We Will Verify Weight At The Finish Line For Top Finishers.
