CHEP Inc., a non-profit organization founded in 1990, has been dedicated to empowering Veterans by providing stability, independence, and a sense of community. Headquartered in Perry Point, Maryland, CHEP’s mission is centered around offering comprehensive housing solutions tailored to meet Veterans’ unique challenges. With programs emphasizing skill-building, employment, financial stability, mental health, and substance use recovery, CHEP aims to support and uplift those who have sacrificed for our country.
Our Story: A Legacy of Service
Since its inception, CHEP has worked tirelessly to bridge the gap between Veterans and essential resources. The journey began with a simple yet powerful goal: to ensure that no Veteran is left without a support system. Over the years, CHEP has evolved to provide not only housing but also holistic care, creating safe spaces for Veterans to heal, grow, and reintegrate into the community. By offering tailored programs that address each aspect of Veterans’ lives, CHEP has become a beacon of hope, restoring independence and dignity to those who have served.
Professional Education and Event Services
In addition to its housing initiatives, CHEP offers professional education and event services, including conference management and continuing education accreditation. These services are designed to empower professionals by providing best-in-class educational seminars and programs that meet continuing education requirements. CHEP delivers conference management and consulting services, arming professionals with the tools needed to serve both Veteran and non-Veteran communities.
What’s Next: 2025 and Beyond
CHEP is expanding its reach and deepening its impact with two new initiatives: the CHEP Outpost and the CHEP Veteran’s House of Hope. The CHEP Outpost will serve as a community thrift store and resource hub, offering Veterans and the community affordable items and connecting them with job training and supportive services. Proceeds will go directly back into CHEP to help sustain and grow our mission.
The CHEP Veteran’s House of Hope, located in Elkton, MD, is another exciting addition, designed to provide stable housing and comprehensive support for 8-10 veterans. This initiative aims to give residents the tools they need to regain independence, reconnect with the community, and rebuild their lives in a stable, supportive environment.
A Call to Support
As we move into this exciting phase, we invite all community members to join us in supporting these initiatives. Whether through volunteering, donations, or advocacy, your involvement can make a tangible difference in the lives of Veterans and their community. Together, we can empower, uplift, and honor those who have sacrificed for us.
