Christina Weikert grew up in Forest Hill, Maryland, graduating from Fallston High School in 2000. After being interested in the Marine Corps for many years, she enlisted in 2003, leaving for boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina on January 5, 2004. From April 2004 to June 2005, Lance Corporal (LCpl) Weikert attended Military Occupation School (MOS) in Pensacola, Florida and would become a 5954, Communications Technician for Air Traffic Control equipment.
From June 2005 to June 3007, Sergeant (Sgt) Weikert was stationed in Okinawa, Japan with Marine Air Control Squadron 4. While in Japan, she did a rotation with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), spending time at sea on the Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD-2) USS Essex and travailing to the Philippines and several other countries in the same vicinity.
Upon leaving Okinawa in 2007, Sgt Weikert finished out her enlistment at Marine Corps Air Station New River, in North Carolina with Marine Air Control Squadron 2. Sgt Weikert was promoted meritoriously to every rank she pinned on and was selected for Staff Sergeant prior toher active-duty contract with the Marine Corps ending. She was promoted to SSgt upon leaving active duty to fulfill the rest of her contract as a reservist.
Since leaving the Marine Corps in 2009, Christina has maintained a career with the Department of Defense. Working as a contractor from 2009 to 2019 on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and Quantico, Virginia. In 2019, she became an Army Civilian for the Army Test and Evaluation Command, Army Evaluation Center. Her focus has been on offensive and defensive cyberspace systems and developing ways to make test and evaluation more agile to support Agile development.
Despite being an Army Civilian, she still claims the Marine Corps as her true branch of service and tries her best to live out the Marine Corps motto of honor, courage, and commitment every day.
