Winter Wonderland in Galena Join us for a magical Winter Wonderland event on Sunday, December 3, from 12-5 PM. For a $10 entrance fee, with all proceeds donated to Galena Elementary School, you'll gain access to a day filled with holiday cheer. Letters to Santa are being accepted at the Santa House on North East, MD's Main Street. You can deliver your letters until Noon on December 20th. There is a mailbox at Santa's House. Letters are picked up and delivered to Santa each day. Santa will read the letters and respond to each child. From January 6-February 29, 2024 visit downtown shops and restaurants and look for the Snowflake Gnome, record your findings on a Scavenger Hunt postcard (provided at shops and restaurants throughout town), then submit a completed postcard to the Town Hall Dropbox (located just outside Town Hall) by March 1 for a chance to win a $100 Gift Card (from the Chamber). Snowmen are displayed along Main Street either at light poles or store fronts until March 1, 2024. All snowmen on display were submitted as part of the Annual Snowman Contest (submissions were due in November). Entries were made by local businesses and individuals who incorporated crab baskets into their designs. Most snowmen have a winter theme.
