Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins all help promote happiness and pleasure while reducing depression and anxiety. You can activate and give these feelgood hormones a natural boost with some simple activities.

First, lets go over.....UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS OF HAPPY HORMONES!

DOPAMINE. The ‘Reward Chemical’ for motivation and concentration is released by completing tasks, doing self-care activities, striving towards a goal. Associated withExhilaration, Bliss, Motivation, Concentration, Movement, and Learning.

OXYTOCIN. The ‘Love Chemical’ is released and increases trust/relationships by playing with a dog/cat, hugging a loved one, giving/receiving compliments. Associated with… Bonding, Arousal, Trust, Communication Skills, Anti-Stress, and Self-Esteem.

SEROTONIN. The ‘Calm Hormone’  for well-being and happiness. When released, it aids in improving social behavior. It’s released while doing yoga/meditating, running, sitting in nature, and being in the sun. Associated withMood, Appetite, Sleep, Memory, Sense of well-Being, and Social Behavior.

ENDORPHINS. The ‘Pain Killer’ relieves stress and blocks discomfort. It’s released when using essential oils, while watching a funny movie, eating, and exercising. Associated with... Relieving Stress, Feeling of Euphoria, Relieves Pain, and Pleasure.

We are complex human beings. Our mood and chemistry is influenced and impacted by multiple things. In between sensing a situation and reacting or responding to it, hormones help your brain understand, evaluate, and communicate what you’re experiencing. These hormones have a mission.

Each one Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins activate in a certain way, signaling certain emotions and stimulating certain areas of your brain. UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS OF HAPPY HORMONES should help with unique ways to activate your happy hormones!!
